Cumbria Way Organised Holidays
We run organised walking holidays on The Cumbria Way on specified dates. Our walking holidays are with a qualified Mountain Leader and with no more than 12 people in a group. The walking holiday starts in Ulverston where we meet the night before and finishes in Carlisle.
The walking holidays are 5 days, 6 nights and we we stay in guest houses, Inns and Hotels. All you need to carry is a day sac as we organise daily luggage transfers which are included in the price.

Cumbria Way Guided Walking
Alvina, owner of Reasons To Go North, lived her early life in Cumbria, hiking Helvellyn for the first time at the age of ten. She has travelled widely through Europe and the Americas, spending time hiking in US national parks and the Canadian Rockies. Latterly she has travelled in Asia; Bhutan and Nepal. While working in Vietnam, she took the opportunity to climb a few mountains including Fansipan and Kinabalu in Sabah.
Teaching has occupied a large part of Alvina’s working life and on her return from Vietnam, she decided to base herself back in Cumbria, achieve her Mountain Leader certification, and work in travel and guiding where her true passions lie. She leads walks, hosts holidays and helps to introduce the next generation to the outdoors by working on the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
