Part of the Cumbria Way path is closed from today (15th October 2025) for urgent riverbank repairs between Dalston and Cummersdale, close to Carlisle. The work is expected to finish on Sunday 19th October. The exact spot of the closure is close to the railway bridge. An alternative route is to walk along the B5299 road between Dalston and Cummersdale.
